Upcycled Stripe Handloom Cotton
In rural India, women often recycle worn-out saris into other textile forms. Torn into strips, those old clothes can be given new life and woven into handloom cotton fabrics like this.
A base of lapis blue is the perfect foil for upcycled stripes in joyful colors: red and yellow, pink and purple, touches of green and white. Every yard is different and wonderful! Light- to mid-weight cotton, perfect for shirts, skirts, and dresses. Try making a quilted Ayora Jacket from Pauline Alice patterns.
Stripes measure about 2 inches apart.
