Black Diagonals Shibori Silk/Cotton
Diagonal shibori stripes of varying widths ripple across a black background on this hand-dyed fabric; the stripes have a grey-blue tint. Forget the pattern instructions that say no diagonals - they are full of great design possibilities! Or make a wonderful lighter-than-air evening wrap.
The sheer silk/cotton blend fabric has a lightly crisp drape and silky sheen; similar to organza but with a cottony touch. (The needle holes are a reminder that the fabric was hand-crafted - they will close up once the fabric is washed.)
43 inches wide
Care: hand wash separately in cool water and line dry in shade, or dry clean.
Colors may bleed in the first few washes: you may wish to use a dye fixative or a handful of salt. Always test first!
Due to the hand-dying process, this fabric comes in a maximum length of 3 yards; orders of more than 3 yards will consist of multiple pieces of fabric.
Please note: this fabric is dyed by hand and every yard is slightly different. Your piece will resemble what is shown here, but will be unique and wonderful.
