Sun and Shade Handloom Cotton
Like a drive through the forest, sunshine and shadow alternate on this cotton fabric. Stripes in pale yellow and green run across the cloth, enlivened by bands of dark blue and hints of red-and-white space-dye. Wide olive green bars run down the length of the fabric and highlight the selvedges (though they appear green, they're actually woven with blue thread!).
Handwoven in a light shirting weight, like batiste, it will create a very cool (in both senses of the word) shirt for men or women. Or take advantage of its soft hand, which will gather well and drape nicely, to make a simple gathered dirndl-style skirt. (Some garments may need to be lined.)
Horizontal stripe repeat measures about 8 inches; dark vertical bands are about 5 inches wide.

Care: hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water, in a zippered mesh bag; line dry in shade
