If you are familiar with The Bright Blooms, you know that Atia has an incredible gift for color and design, as well as for sewing and making. (If you don’t, have a look at her blog — you’re in for a treat! Her work is constantly inspiring.)
We were thrilled to see what she recently made with some of our handwoven jamdani fabrics. The Wilder Gown from the Friday Pattern Company calls for soft wovens, and these jamdani cottons are super-fine and light as air, as you can see:
The two fabrics she chose were dyed with natural indigo, with subtle variations in the color. One had a contrast selvedge which Atia made the most of by placing it at the hem of the dress. (Bonus: no need to hem!)
It’s a beautiful dress, and it looks fantastic on her!
