Collection: Jamdani Handloom Fabrics

Jamdani fabrics are woven by hand, by master craftspeople, without the use of electricity. The designs are woven into the cloth while it's on the loom. See how they're made in A Look at Jamdani Weaving. Many of these fabrics are made of soft hand-spun khadi cotton, so fine that the motifs seem to float — use them to make airy tops and dresses, scarves, and lingerie.
For many garments, these fabrics will need to be lined or layered; try our cotton voile or other handloom fabrics.

Jamdani weaving has been declared by UNESCO to be an “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” — let's help to preserve it!
