Handloom fabrics are woven by a person, not a machine - it’s that simple! Thus no electricity is used in making the fabric. Many handlooms are made of khadi yarn, meaning that the cotton fiber itself has been spun by hand, giving the fabric an incomparable softness. Our handwoven fabrics are made in West Bengal, India, where people have been making and exporting this kind of cloth for several thousand years.
Our Jamdani Cotton fabrics are handwoven, too: be sure to see them here.
