Ever since we started selling fabric online in 2018, customers have told us they wished they could see our fabrics in person. Now you can! We’ve just moved to The Big Apple and we're open for in-person shopping by appointment.
Local sewists have told us that there’s a great need for our fabrics here in NYC. We’re happy to step in. We connect modern makers with heritage textiles from India and have a curated selection of the finest fabrics from Japan. All are natural fibers for sustainable sewing and quilting.
Our office is in a pleasant neighborhood near the iconic Flatiron Building. This part of Broadway is a pedestrian zone, and in summer the cafes and restaurants spill out into the street. All our customers will feel comfortable here, whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town.
With a bigger space, we now have a hand-picked selection of sewing patterns that complement our fabrics. We've squeezed in a good range of notions, including many of our personal favorites, as well as sewing books and thread. Plus a feast of fat quarters and an ever-changing assortment of vintage buttons and textiles.
Need a gift for a sewing friend? Check out our whimsical Japanese sewing tools. And textile lovers can't get enough of our handloom scarves. The antique fashion plates on the walls provide sewing inspiration — or not!
Everyone oohs and aahs about our view all the way to lower Manhattan.
Yes, there’s a lot of fabric in this city, but there’s nothing like ours. Come by and say hello!
We’re currently open Wednesday to Friday, noon to 5. More information here.
Can't make it then? We'd love to make an appointment for you.
The Flatiron district is centrally located and easily accessible to many subway lines and the PATH train. Beautiful Madison Square Park is just steps away, and there are plenty of gelato shops to add to the holiday vibe. Coming to NYC for a fabric-shopping adventure? It's only a short walk to the heart of the Garment District.
We're located at 1133 Broadway, between 25th and 26th Streets.
