Sprig and Dot Jamdani Cotton
Black leaves are handwoven on this fine white khadi cotton fabric, like the sprigs of new tea leaves ready to be plucked! Note that the sprigs are placed perpendicular to the lengthwise grain of the semi-sheer cloth.
This would look fantastic made into a blouse or tunic with simple lines, such as Megan Nielsen’s Dove Blouse or the Square Neck Top from the Friday Pattern Company - just remember that the fabric requirements might be different when cutting across the grain.
Sprigs measure about 3/4 inch high.
